"My husband was diagnosed with cancer and unfortunately had to admitted into hospice care."

About: Victoria Hospital / Palliative Care and Hospice

(as a relative),

From the moment my husband and I arrived at the hospice in kirkcaldy  hospital. We were welcomed by Kate.  Whom greeted us with a big smile and a reassuring hug for me.  We spent just a few days there.. Kate was also there when my husband  sadly took his last breaths  and was there to talk myself and my 2 sons through this very difficult time. She stayed with us as we all cried and laughed about happier times. Without her care and dedication , explanation  about what what might or could happen it would have been unimaginable.  Kate and the team whom work within the hospice are 1st class and are all angels 😇

Thank you for sharing such a heartfelt story. Kate’s compassion and presence clearly made a profound difference during an incredibly difficult time.

Your kind words are a powerful reminder of the impact our hospice team can have, we will make sure your kind feedback is shared with Kate and the wider hospice team. They will be deeply touched to know that their care brought comfort and strength to you and your family in those final moments with your husband.

Stories like yours remind us why we do what we do, and they help us continue striving to provide the highest standard of care.

Thank you again for taking the time to write. Look after yourself and your family.

Kindest Regards

Mark Kinninmonth
