"Cardiac Catheter Suite and stents fitted"

About: Torbay Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

Went in the above suite for a heart operation in September 2025 for stents putting in.

I had two stents inserted into two arteries at the front of my heart.

The operation went well apart from pain on I presume stretching the arteries to insert the stents.

On the whole the operation took just over two hours with a further five hrs in recovery.

The whole operation from start to finish went well and I praise the Lab team and the surgeon Dr. Haider who after my operation was called to an emergency at the hospital and when I got to see him at later that night looked shattered.

So a big round of applause and thanks to you all at Cardiology at Torbay.
