"Prostate cancer investigations"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Cancer Services North Devon District Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

Excellent care from a very professional and friendly staff at North Devon District Hospital. Following a UTI and subsequent raised PSA and monitoring an MRI was recommended. Borderline changes prompted a transperineal biopsy. I opted for local anaesthesia and was pleased that I did. The very competent staff led by Tracey ensured the procedure was as comfortable as possible and kept me fully informed throughout the 20 minute treatment. A minor side effect of haematoma subsided after a few days. I was given my results by telephone one week later. Thankfully no cancer was found.
