"They were all were all very friendly and professional"

About: Occupational Therapy / Physical Disability & Sensory Impairment (PDSI)

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and pulmonary hypertension last year. I have been getting more and more breathless and having episodes of tachycardia on any exertion since. Climbing my 19 stairs to my flat has been extremely difficult for me.

OTA Isobel came to my home and assessed me for a stairlift. She gained funding quickly and Grant came out and measured for it. It was then fitted by a lovely young man that I’m sorry I can’t remember his name. The whole process was surprisingly quick and seamless. The people involved were all very friendly and professional.

Although I have hated the idea of having a stairlift the staff were very supportive and caring about my feelings. I’d like to thank them all for making a difficult situation so much better.

Thank you for sharing such a powerful and heartfelt message. It’s clear you’ve been through a lot, and I’m really pleased to hear that the team—from Isobel at the initial assessment, to those who measured and installed the stairlift—provided a smooth, integrated, and timely service that met your needs and level of risk. It’s wonderful to know that your situation has improved so significantly.

I’ll make sure your kind words are passed on to Isobel and the rest of the team. They’ll be glad to hear the difference their work has made to your life.
