About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Breast services

(as the patient),

I recently had an appointment for breast biopsy.

My nurse practitioner Gail was so lovely and thorough in her examination, then refereed me for USS which was done by Ali.

She explained me everything and chat with me throughout the biopsy procedure eased my anxiety and the nurse was chaperoning was lovely too.

Then my Doctor Mr Harron rang me with result and he was a such nice person and explained me the result and spent time to answer all my question

I really appreciate and convey my gratitude towards the people in Altnagelvin Area Hospital breast care unit

It is such an anxious time waiting for and attending a breast clinic for any symptoms and indeed with a biopsy it can be additionally apprehensive. Staff understand this and I am glad your experience has been so positive and hope it will encourage and reassure others.
