My sister had an appointment recently at Tiverton hospital at the Endoscopy Diagnostic Unit.
I delivered my sister to the door of the Main Entrance as she cannot walk far.
Unknown to either of us, there is a new Diagnostic Unit with an entrance to the side of the main building, which is where the procedure was to take place.
This new unit has only been open since May. Previously, the old endoscopy unit was accessed through the main entrance.
The member of staff on reception at the main entrance had to bother to redirect my sister to the new entrance. My sister then had to walk several metres to the new unit, as I was by then trying to park to return and assist her.
My suggestion is that a mini map is added to the appointment letter, showing the new unit and new entrance, as this would greatly help those who are less mobile.
The new unit is very nice and the unit staff are very pleasant.
