"Specialist Palliative Care - Great Care"

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Specialist Palliative Care Kilbryde Hospice St Andrew's Hospice (Lanarkshire)

(as a service user),

One of my relatives who has 2 cancers in addition to other health conditions was under the care of palliative care services.

The care has been fabulous πŸ‘Œ

From his specialist palliative care nurses when he was at home and during his time in both  hospices within Lanarkshire.

Everyone has been very responsive, compassionate and caring.

His needs can now be met elsewhere so has appropriately been moved to a care home but we are so grateful for the care he received and support for our family.

Special mention to Jill, Jo, Wendy....I will have missed lots of people!

Thank you 😊

Dear SIMPLES123,

It is important to us to hear that the care provided by specialist palliative care to your relative has been so good throughout their journey. We always try to work in an integrated way for the benefit of the patient and family and it is great to receive your feedback about this.

From the staff here at St Andrew's Hospice-thank you so much for taking the time to write a little bit of your story-we really appreciate it,

I hope that your relative continues to feel settled and cared for in their new setting,

Kindest regards,

Margaret

Dear SIMPLES123,

May I take this opportunity to thank you for your incredibly kind words in describing the care your relative received here at Kilbryde Hospice.

You take time to mention the teams included within Specialist Palliative Care, and how everyone has been very responsive, compassionate and caring, as one of the Deputy Managers here at Kilbryde Hospice, it is really lovely to read such positive feedback, it was our pleasure to look after your relative, as a team, we strive to deliver individualised, patient centred care.

I trust that the care home team will provide him with the attention and compassion he deserves.

Any further support required, please don't hesitate in contacting us here at Kilbryde Hospice.

Sending our sincere thanks again,

Lynn.

Dear SIMPLES123,

Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt message. We're truly grateful that your relative received compassionate and responsive care from our specialist palliative care teams, both at home and in the hospices across Lanarkshire.

It means a great deal to hear that the support provided made a positive difference to your family during such a challenging time. I am especially pleased that Jill, Jo, Wendy, and others were able to offer the care and comfort needed β€” I will make sure your appreciation is passed on to them.

Transition into a care home can be emotional, Im glad to know that your relative continues to be supported. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience β€” it’s messages like yours that remind us why we do what we do.

Warmest wishes to you and your family.
