I went for a usual eye test at my local opticians and hour after developed double vision and had to go to A&E at Hairmyres although I did spend a very long time did get seen by doctor Robert, who gave me a thorough examination and was confident that I was in no immediate danger, however as still had drooping eye and double vision he said I should see my optician on the Friday and get referral for the Opthalmic Dept.
I did this and was again thoroughly examined by Dr Tsang and her excellent staff and sent to be admitted to get CT scans, unfortunately this didn't happen until the Saturday.
While I was in the receiving ward, again with Dr Sophie and her staff on night duty all doing a marvellous job to reassure me and before the shift changed Dr Sophie came to tell me no Stroke or Aneurysm showed.
When the day shift came on, the consultant gave me a very thorough examination with Debbie taking an ECG and was discharged. Will be called for an MRI and further treatment from the Opthalmic Dept and hopefully the eye problem will be resolved.
Many Thanks to all staff on A&E both days and nights, the admin staff on the desk who have to deal with a lot of disrespectful people. Also like to say thanks to the very cheery porter who took me from the receiving ward for my scans and the catering lady for breakfast.
I would like to list all names but all staff, but not sure of names, but just to say teamwork was great. Hairmyres is Great hospital over last few years been regular as husband been in with serious health issues and he's still here πbut I was the patient this time, didn't like that ! But got best medical professional, caring treatment from our Scottish NHS as always ππΌππΌππΌ
