About 7 months ago I was diagnosed with multifocal motor neuropathy which is a nerve damage to the motor functions of your body symptoms like muscle wastage to your hands legs arms and feet. When I discovered that I had this rare condition I began on a destructive path leading to deep hole in depression not wanting to carry on with my life using alcohol to numb the pain, I was very angry at the world.
I reached out to universal credit asking for help, I couldn't cope anymore, it had consumed me to the point I had a mental breakdown. I got offered the condition management programme in Enniskillen to see a therapist (Raymond) and a occupational therapist (Natalie) They have been so good in helping adjust to my new reality with a new way of thinking and the tools I needed to help with daily life.
Without that support from them both I don't know where I would and they helped me see that everything can be adjusted your life can still be worth living and that yes things aren't always sunshine and rainbows but with they positive support and positivity to help they made me feel like me again so much so that I started having a smile on my face started getting back to me and also gave me the confidence I needed with in those 6 months I've found a new purpose for life.
I can't thank Raymond and Natalie for there upmost support. I would highly recommend this service to anyone who feels like they just can't go on or feel lost or hopeless like I did, these lovely people are here to help and anyone thinking of using this service please do.
