"This procedure saved my life"

One morning recently I woke up and had all the classical symptoms of a blocked bowel.  I was driven to Causeway A & E and was rushed straight in. I was diagnosed with a severe blocked bowel. I had an X-ray, a CT Scan, heart echocardiograms, blood tests etc. After meetings with the surgeons and anaesthetist, I went through an emergency right side hemi-colectomy that evening. I was very ill and I feel this procedure saved my life.
