"Their support made a real difference"

Excellent care at Orchard Surgery and Heatherwood Hospital.

In recent months I’ve had to visit Orchard Surgery in Langley, Slough several times due to two separate health concerns. On each visit, I interacted with different members of the team — including receptionists, doctors, and nurses — and I can honestly say that everyone I encountered was professional, supportive, and genuinely caring.

Although I don’t remember the names of all the staff I saw, I want to highlight two consultations in particular: one with a male doctor, and another with a female doctor. On both occasions, I was feeling extremely anxious and overwhelmed, but their kindness, calm approach, and willingness to listen really helped to put me at ease.

Both consultations resulted in referrals, one to Heatherwood Hospital and the other to Wexham Park Hospital for further investigations. I had expressed concerns that my symptoms might indicate something serious, and the doctors took those concerns seriously. I was seen at the hospital within about a week, and I also received a follow-up email from Orchard Surgery to check I had received the referral, which was very reassuring.

I also underwent an intimate biopsy at Heatherwood Hospital. Understandably, I was nervous about the procedure, but the team were incredibly respectful, kind, and reassuring throughout, which made a potentially uncomfortable experience much easier.

I'm truly grateful for the care, professionalism, and empathy shown by everyone involved in my care — both at Orchard Surgery and the hospital, in particular Heatherwood. At a time when I was feeling particularly vulnerable, their support made a real difference. Thank you all.
