(as a service user),

Had a lovely visit to the tech house yesterday. I came with my husband and daughter and we were given a warm welcome by Gary. While my daughter and I petted the therapy cat we chatted about how various technologies could assist us.

Gary took our various disabilities into account and demonstrated how smart hubs and various products could make life easier for us as a family, with Gary saying we could apply for a seizure detection wearable. I was concerned about the costs involved in buying the other items and Gary spoke of different charities who may help, but said there was no need to buy it all at once. Gary said the team would assist us in setting the technology up whenever we needed.

We left after having a better idea of how to make the best of technology to assist us in our lives.

Gary is a credit to your team, so friendly and knowledgeable.

I am now on the hunt for a therapy cat for my daughter and myself!

Our team offer technology ideas/solutions for residents of North Lanarkshire. We can be consulted with or can assess for specific pieces of technology relating to falls/epilepsy/GPS and other types of monitoring equipment to help support people to remain safe or with planning their support.
