"Made my mum comfortable and supported me"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

My mum was cared for by paramedics who attended her home. This first responder was kind and caring and took time to listen to my mum, he treated her with dignity and respect. Two girls came to help and take over, Emma took the lead and again spoke directly to my mum with care and compassion, Emma ensured my mum was comfortable and supported me at what was a difficult distressing time.

Beyond their safe delivery to the hospital, Emma seeked me out and came to offer her support and further liaised with doctors on my behalf as I was deeply distressed. These were my mums last moments and it really meant a great deal that she was treated so well. Thank you
