"Knowing they are there when you need them is a lifeline"

About: Countywide Community Care Service Delivery Unit / Post Viral Fatigue Service

(as a service user),

I have been under the post viral fatigue service in Herefordshire & Worcestershire for 2 years following a relapse. During this time I have been able to access support from the Occupational Therapist via video call so I don't have the stress or getting to an appointment. The OT has helped sign post me to other support options and how to manage a relapse and also supported me with a return to work, her support during this challenging time was invaluable.

When I recovered from my relapse I was given a 12month open referral to contact the service if required, as this time was about to end I needed further support and was able to email the service and get an appointment with the OT in 2months. I work for the NHS and know how stretched services are so I cant fault this service for being there to support me during my times of needs. As this condition is fluctuating, you never know when you may need support again, so knowing they are there when you need them is a lifeline and one less thing to worry about during a period of ill health.
