"Excellent care"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency North Devon District Hospital / Discharge Hub North Devon District Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I went to A&E at Barnstaple hospital, suffering from extreme pain in my back and side. I would particularly like to mention and praise Nurse Emma, The Associate Physician Jessica, who was most thorough, Bilal, Dr Jordan, Nurse Jess and Dr Rosey in A&E, plus Ericka who did a CT scan of my back which showed I had a fracture to one of my vertebrae.

I was admitted to the King George V Surgical Ward where Molly took my details and put a cannular in my hand. Molly was absolutely brilliant at inserting the cannular, when I have had it done before it has been quite uncomfortable and painful but I did not feel a thing with Molly doing it.

Toni was very caring on my overnight stay on the ward and Anitt and Kimberley were both so kind and helpful. I then had an xray and was transferred later to the Discharge Hub where I had excellent care from Staff Nurse Bogdan and Nurse Jovelin overnight. Staff Nurse Jessica and Nurse John were really most helpful, plus Gemma.

If I have missed any staff member out or got their names wrong, I apologise. I am most grateful to all the wonderful hospital staff during my stay.
