"A lifeline at a very difficult time"

About: Western Health & Social Care Trust / Post Covid Syndrome Service

(as the patient),

I contracted Covid in June 2024 and have been struggling with ongoing symptoms ever since. These include breathlessness, fatigue, brain fog, and persistent pain which have had a big impact on my daily life.

From November 2024, I have been attending the Post Covid Syndrome Service provided by the Western Health and Social Care Trust. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the whole team for the care and support I have received.

From the very beginning, the staff have been kind, professional, and understanding. They take time to listen, explain things clearly, and provide tailored advice and treatment options that make me feel supported and not alone in this journey. The service is well organised, and each appointment has helped me better understand how to manage my symptoms and pace myself.

Living with Post Covid Syndrome is extremely challenging, but having access to this service has made a real difference to my health and my outlook. I truly believe this is an essential service that should be protected and supported for the benefit of all those affected by Post Covid Syndrome.

I deeply appreciate the dedication of everyone involved, from the clinic team to the wider Post Covid support staff. Thank you for providing such a compassionate and effective service it has been a lifeline at a very difficult time.
