"Occupational Therapy treatment for my right hand"

About: Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy - Outpatient Hand Service

(as the patient),

I was referred to OT with a painful badly swollen right hand which, for several months, had no movement. My appointment was with Asma and she was wonderful. At each successive appointment she was able to advise on the most appropriate exercises to do. I could feel the benefit from these exercises and only wish that my appointment with OT had happened earlier. Asma, as well as being very knowledgeable and was an excellent and delightful therapist. I feel very fortunate to have had Asma treat me.

Dear JGS37

Thank you for taking time to share your story. I'm sorry to hear that you were experiencing swelling, pain and no movement in your right hand.

I am very pleased to hear that you received wonderful care from Asma in our hand therapy team and that your treatment was beneficial. I acknowledge that you wish you could have been seen earlier.

I look forward to sharing your feedback at our next peer supervision meeting.

Thank you once again for sharing your story and I and wish you all the best.

Kind regards

Caroline
