"Wonderful people and service"

About: Victoria Hospital / Cardiology Victoria Hospital / Medical Oncology

(as the patient),

On starting my cancer treatment at Kirkaldy hospital they found an issue with my heart. I was transferred to the CCU on floor 2, ward 21. Dr Hamish and his team could not have looked after me any better. Wonderful people and service.

The whole team for my cancer treatment was wonderful.  When I encountered a problem with my heart, the oncology team even came down to the ICU to see how I was. I have now had my first treatment and cannot thank the whole team enough.

Dear atlascq89,

My name is Murdina Macdonald, I am the Lead Cancer Nurse and I would like to thank you for sharing your experience of care. Please accept my sincere apologies for the slow reply.

I’m heartened to hear about the care you received at Victoria Hospital. It’s wonderful to know that Dr Hamish and the team in Ward 21 provided such outstanding support during what must have been a very worrying time. The fact that the oncology team came down to ICU to check on you speaks volumes about their compassion and dedication.

Starting cancer treatment is a significant moment, and I’m so pleased to hear that your first treatment has gone well. Your appreciation means a great deal to all of us it’s a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

Wishing you all the best on your cancer journey

Warmest regards,

Murdina
