We travelled with my daughter to Sheffield Children's Hospital Urology and Ward 1 in late July for a PCNL. Under Miss Rusu and her team. The journey was daunting leaving our other child at home and making our way over.
When we arrived at the hospital we were amazed by the facilities in the hospital from the parents area to the children's toy room. We were provided with a treetop bedroom and their facilities were amazing and so homely when you travel a long way it can really help.
The ward 1 staff were amazing special shout out to them all. What a team of nurses Imogen, Natalie and more. I am awful with names but you made the trip so much easier. Before, during and after the surgery.
The surgery itself was thankfully very straight forward although we were informed of everything prior to it starting. Miss Rusu and team are definitely worth their weight in gold to our NHS.
Although it may not be our last trip to Sheffield. I want to thank you all for the help and support.
