"They were fantastic"

About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde / Covid Vaccination Programme

(as a parent/guardian),

I took my 7 year old to the clinic today for his flu spray appointment as he missed the one at school. My 2 Yr old was also with me and he has an appointment in a few weeks at a different site but as we were there anyway, the nurse does his spray as well. This has saved me a lot of inconvenience and as my wee one saw his brother do it first, it meant he was excited and eager to get it. A win for everyone!

The nurse who was called Kristel (sorry about the spelling) was very friendly and helpful. The health care support worker who showed us where to go was fantastic with children and my 2 Yr old was fascinated with him And the 2 ladies who checked us in were also very smiley and approachable. I also noticed another nurse at one point waving to my kids as we left.

You made a tedious and stressful experience on a busy day off work much more bearable was a tired single mum. Thank you x

Dear CMacUnicorn

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your lovely feedback following your visit to the clinic with your children. We’re delighted to hear that what could have been a stressful and tiring day turned into such a positive experience for you and your boys.

It's wonderful to know that our staff helped make things a little easier — from the friendly and welcoming check-in team, to the fantastic health care support worker, and of course Kristel (we’re sure she’ll be thrilled to be mentioned, even if we need to double-check the spelling!). We’re also so pleased your younger child was able to have his flu spray on the day — these little flexibilities can make a big difference, especially for busy parents.

Our teams work hard to create a calm and supportive environment for children and their families, and it means a great deal to hear that their kindness and approachability made such an impact. We'll be sure to pass on your kind words to everyone involved.

Thank you again for your thoughtful message — it really does lift spirits. Wishing you and your boys a healthy and happy winter season!

Kind regards

Kevin
