"First time to A&E"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Emergency Medicine / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

Never been to A&E before. Long waiting times in shabby waiting area. However, once I finally got seen, service received was excellent. I got taken seriously and with understanding. Bedside manners were excellent by the staff and I needed to come back to Minor Injuries the next day.

Same story. Shabby waiting room, but lovely service. Not rushed, very personal and compassionate. My regard for the NHS has gone up considerably.

If allowed here, I'd like to call out nurse practitioner Leanne for her attentiveness. 

The NHS does need to invest though in plasters with pretty pictures on them. Everybody loves that!

Thank you for taking the time to post your story on Care opinion,

I am sorry to hear you had a long wait and that you felt the waiting area was shabby.

This area is extensively used on a daily basis and is regularly cleaned however I would agree that it perhaps could do with some redecoration and the windows cleaned.

I will contact our estates and facilities department to help support with this.
