I received a cancellation two weeks previously to get a minor urology procedure at Stracathro Hospital. I had been waiting 21 months for the procedure.
Attended on the day, welcomed, and quickly completed all admin, and assigned a seat in the ward.
All the staff, admin, ward nurses and operating theatre nurses and surgeons were wonderful. Having a local anaesthetic allowed me to converse with the anaesthetic nurse, surgeons and theatre nurses during the procedure. A procedure I had been a bit nervous about was carried out professionally, care and humour, which was great.
Well done to everyone at Stracathro Hospital and thank you for making my stay with you so successful. The NHS has done me proud.
