"They made me feel safe and secure"

I wanted to write a review about the amazing team in the Wishaw General Endoscopy Department. I attended yesterday for an endoscopy followed by a colonoscopy, and I was very anxious beforehand. From the start, I found the receptionists welcoming, chatting with me as they checked my details.

In the preparation area, the staff made sure everything was in order and guided me through what to expect. The nurses, Louise and Laura, were so caring and kind—helping me with my gowns and ensuring I was in the right position for the procedure. Despite the sedation, I remember them holding me for comfort during the process, which made me feel safe and secure.

The consultant, Mr. Mughal, spoke to me throughout to reassure me that everything was going to plan. He was empathetic and did a fantastic job with both procedures. In the recovery room, Marie and Christine explained the findings and follow-up arrangements, and made sure I was fully recovered before discharge.

I had expected a very challenging experience, but the professional care I received was incredible and deeply appreciated. This fantastic team, led by Mr. Mughal, is a real credit to Wishaw General.
