"My son's treatment"

My son attended 3c for a day case operation under urology. Everyone we met was in good spirits, explained the process and provided compassionate, professional care.

Thanks so much to the nursing team in 3c, including the HCSW and the guy scrubbing the beds to keep everywhere spick and Span. Your positive approach really makes a difference to your patients who are going through a scary procedure. The medical team and anaesthetic were also second to none. Theatre reception nurse was also very kind.

My only concern was from the consultant who we met at the clinic several months before. Their discussion around recommended procedure was absolutely shocking. It consisted of yes you need an operation, please sign here. I suggested they name the operation and explain the risks and benefits of the operation to my son to ensure informed consent had been given, their reply was there is no other treatment.  This greatly concerned me. I thankfully had gone over the risks with my son from researching myself.
