"So many lovely staff who took time to chat with mum"

About: Clonmore House Residential Home

(as a relative),

My mum was in Clonmore House in Newtownabbey for rehab following a fall at home and surgery for a broken hip. Mum was there from April until July this year. I would like on behalf of my mum to formally record massive thanks to the manager in Clonmore and her brilliant team for the care, compassion and expertise that got mum back on her feet.

There were so many lovely staff who took time to chat with mum and make her feel settled at Clonmore. Massive thanks also to the multidisciplinary team who organised mum’s rehab. I had the opportunity to meet some of these staff to discuss mum's rehab and plans. We were blessed to have a wonderful social worker in Katherine and we felt that mum's care planning was in good hands. Mum is now settling into residential care and is on a journey to get used to a new way of life for mum and us.

Mum continues to talk very fondly about her time in Clonmore. NHSCT is hopefully very proud if the team at Clonmore and we are very glad that it was Clonmore that mum was in for rehab.

Hello Niece22

My name is Catherine Ward and I work as a member of the NHSCT Physiotherapy team. Thank you very much for taking the time to tell your mother's story. I am sorry to hear that she had a fall and required surgery but I am pleased that she was able to receive the rehabilitation she needed in Clonmore. I will ensure that that the physiotherapy team are made aware of your kind words and ask that they share this with the wider team including the staff in Clonmore.

Wishing you and your mother well for the future

Regards

Catherine
