"I was looked after very well"

I had been on a waiting list to have my Gallbladder removed via keyhole surgery. I received a call on a Tuesday morning offering a cancellation for day surgery on a Sunday, which I was happy to accept.

I was given an appointment for pre-op assessment on the Wednesday, where I was given admission letter and information on my upcoming surgery.

I arrived at New Victoria Hospital at 09:00 on the Sunday morning. The admission process was very quick. The surgeon and anaesthetist explained what would happen and what to expect before and after surgery. 

From my arrival at the hospital until my daughter came to collect me, I was looked after very well. The nursing staff, anaesthetists and surgical staff were all excellent.  

On leaving hospital I was given pain relief and information regarding the aftercare for the procedure I had carried out.  I can only say that my experience of the NHS on this day was very positive and have nothing but praise for all I came in to contact with on that day. I have continued to make a very good recovery and feeling the benefits of the surgery. Thank you so much.
