Needed gynae tests and support following issue post menopause. Ordinarily we would have had to travel to pilgrim at Boston for the tests which for me being disabled is not easy.
The new diagnostic facility in Skegness is brilliant! Not just in terms of travel and accessibility, which is huge in itself, but also due to the distance from car park to where you have to go. I use a wheelchair but can walk with sticks so prefer to go under my steam but do struggle in the hospital.
The other great benefit is in terms of anxiety and stress. I have several health issues that are greatly exacerbated by stress and a trip to the hospital is always a very stressful time for me. The ease that I can get into the building and the treatment rooms makes the whole experience far far easier to deal with.
Last but not least is the staff. Wonderful! Very friendly and very accommodating. Always found the main hospital staff pleasant but the ones in this facility seem more personal and more welcoming as if they are one big team and not departmentalised.
"Very friendly and accommodating staff"
