"The standard of care is nothing short of phenomenal"

About: Perth Royal Infirmary / Community Midwifery Unit

(as a service user),

Over the last 9 months I have been cared for by the community midwife team at PRI. The standard of care I have received is nothing short of phenomenal. Every midwife, student midwife, receptionist or porter I came into contact with made my pregnancy a wonderful experience. From my initial booking appointment to the post natal home visits nothing has ever been a problem, no question ever too big or small.

The level of professionalism displayed by all members of the Willow team extended far beyond what I had expected with each midwife going the extra mile to ensure my comfort and happiness. I genuinely believe that without the community midwife team at Perth I would not have grown into the mother that I have become.

I would particularly like to highlight the role of Midwife Marie whose knowledge had guided me through pregnancy and post partum without judgement. I always felt completely in control of my journey with Marie, something that was very important to me and I will always be grateful for that.

If I could do it again I’d choose the team at PRI every time. Thank you for everything.

Hello Macdj36

Congratulations on the birth of your baby.

We thank you kindly for your heartfelt and wonderful feedback for our team. We are so pleased to hear that you have had such an enlightening experience within our service. We continue to strive to give the best care possible and hearing how impactful our care has been for you is so rewarding.

It appears that you have had great continuity of care with your midwife Marie, we know the evidence supports continuity of care, however hearing you describe the benefits of continuity of care confirms how our services align with this model of care. We will share your kind comments with Marie and the wider time.

We hope you are enjoying your time with your baby, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our services in the coming years.

Best wishes and many thanks again.

Lauren Cameron, Senior Charge Midwife, Perth Community Midwife Unit
