My Mum and I were on a family holiday when Mum tripped, fell and sustained 2 lacerations to her scalp. Mum attended the Minor Injuries Unit at The Jubilee Hospital in Huntly and received sutures and staples to these wounds.
The care from the staff was exceptional.
From the welcoming receptionist who was able to access Mums medical records to the nursing and medical staff who provided care, the compassion, humour and care Mum received was fantastic. As a nurse myself (in a different health board), I was delighted to see triage, care delivery and return appointment being delivered in such a compassionate patient-centered way.
Shout out to the lovely Doctor who attended - I didnt catch your name.
A special shout out to Diane, Katie and Anita who were ambassadors for both NHS Grampian and the nursing profession.
