"The care from the staff was exceptional"

About: Jubilee Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as a relative),

My Mum and I were on a family holiday when Mum tripped, fell and sustained 2 lacerations to her scalp. Mum attended the Minor Injuries Unit at The Jubilee Hospital in Huntly and received sutures and staples to these wounds.

The care from the staff was exceptional.

From the welcoming receptionist who was able to access Mums medical records to the nursing and medical staff who provided care, the compassion, humour and care Mum received was fantastic. As a nurse myself (in a different health board), I was delighted to see triage, care delivery and return appointment being delivered in such a compassionate patient-centered way.

Shout out to the lovely Doctor who attended - I didnt catch your name.

A special shout out to Diane, Katie and Anita who were ambassadors for both NHS Grampian and the nursing profession.

Dear alphahn58,

Ouch! I hope your mum's wounds are healing up well. A fall at any time isn’t welcome – but especially not while on holiday. I’m glad to read both you and your mum received exceptional care from the team at the Minor Injuries Unit at Jubilee Hospital.

I have shared your feedback with the Location Manager and the Senior Charge Nurse who will make sure it reaches the whole team including the welcoming reception staff, Nurses Diane, Anita and Katie, and the lovely doctor (even without a name I'm sure we will find them!) They will all be delighted to know their compassion, humour and professionalism made such a positive difference.

It is especially meaningful to receive praise from another member of NHS staff – thanks again for taking time to recognise the person centred care you and your mum experienced.

Take care,
