"Exemplary and immensely kind staff"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Our son is a sports-obsessed teenage boy, unfortunately during training recently he dislocated his right knee.  This was of course a very traumatic experience for him, he was scared and in a lot of pain.

My wife and I transported him to CAH ED via car and I want to take a moment to share our story in regards to the exemplary and immensely kind staff within the department.

Your attentiveness and person centeredness put him at ease, alongside your expertise in immediate pain management and reduction, your empathy put him and two very worried parents at ease.

Thank you !

Good morning,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind feedback about your sons experience in ED. I am delighted that he received person centred care and the team showed empathy and managed his pain well. This is the standard of care we strive to provide to all of our patients in the ED and I am so glad the staff made you and your son feel at ease at such a difficult time.

I will share your kind words with the team, positive feedback is great for staff morale:)

I hope your son is recovering well.

Best wishes,

Sister Green.
