"Losing my adult child suddenly and unexpectedly"

About: Six Degrees Social Enterprise (CIC) / Greater Manchester Bereavement Service

(as a parent/guardian),

My heart is broken into a million pieces since losing my daughter at Christmas 2023. The tears were never ending. Without the kind help and support from my GP and the bereavement service I would be totally lost in my grief. Thank you to my therapist for giving me time to talk. Such a wonderful service that I didn't know existed but for my GP telling me about it. My therapist taught me that despite the blackness to look for a moment of light. (My seashell moment). Talking to my therapist was my seashell moment. The pain in my heart will never leave me but however tiny there is always hope to go on.
