"Attitude of nurse"

About: Mater Hospital / Ward E

(as the patient),

There is a way with talking to people and this nurse was far from nice.

I get if there's an issue it can be discussed in a professional way without the nurse being so rude, giving facial expressions that I wasn't wanted on the ward.

Ps the rest of staff were unbelievable very very helpful couldn't have done enough, although the one nurse was extremely rude.

I'm in my 30s. I wouldn't like this nurse to treat elderly patients like that and that is what they are, completely rude.

Dear Lou25!

My name is Bernie Carey and I am the senior Manager for ward E. I was very disappointed to read your post and saddened to learn that a nurse behaved in a rude and unprofessional manner, including giving inappropriate facial expressions toward a service user.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the attitude you experienced. This is not the standard of care or respect we expect from our staff, and I’m sorry that your experience was not a positive one.

I would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly to understand more about what happened and to ensure your concerns are properly addressed. Please feel free to give me a call on 07540305924 at your convenience

Many Thanks

Bernie Carey
