"A lack of empathy & compassion"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Acute Short Stay Medicine

(as a parent/guardian),

My Son was an inpatient in ward 103 last December & also again recently.

The nurse in charge had no empathy & was rude.

For people who are admitted to this ward who need care & compassion, forget it, as in our experience this will not happen in 103.

We caught members of staff gossiping about our Son .

We understand that 103 is a ward with many challenging patients ,but never have we experienced such lack of empathy & compassion.

It's a complete fear that our Son would be admitted to this ward again.

We found a minority of the staff have exactly the same attitude .
