(as a service user),

As a woman I very rarely feel heard and properly cared for in the medical system, especially when it comes to perinatal/postpartum care. 

However I had an amazing experience with a doctor recently at the Royal Surrey Hospital. They were very thorough and efficient and gave me very good solutions to my issues.

This experience was tainted by their very unprofessional supervisor, however, who burst through the door in the middle of my appointment, completely uncaring for my privacy and proceeded to berate the doctor about their pace, telling them to “hurry up” as they were apparently taking too long… 

I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to work in the NHS in these times, let alone to be treated in such a way by people managing your services. How very disappointing.
