I took my early suspicions of a prostate problem to my GP at the Townsend House Surgery in Seaton back in April. Two weeks ago I had my prostate removed at RD&E. The intervening period has been a classic case study of the NHS working to best effect. My treatment has taken me to both RD&E and its Urology Unit at Ottery St Mary. I have had professionalism, clarity and support right the way through with the knowledge that there has always been advice at the end of a telephone line. Perhaps most important of all, I have been in the hands of a warm and committed team of people who have been - both individually and collectively - reassuring and effective. I have no experience of this type of treatment elsewhere but consider it to be a model of its type. Thank you.
