"My 91yr old mothers fall and subsequent admission to hospital"

About: South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance St Richard's Hospital / Accident and emergency St Richard's Hospital / Older people's healthcare

(as a relative),

My 91yr old Mother had a fall at home, I found her on her floor where she had been overnight. Ambulance called, the 2 lovely paramedics where great, kind and friendly, they explained everything.

A&E although busy were very quick to help Mum and assess her injury. I can't thank them enough.

From there she went to Selsey ward, where following surgery she spent the next 6 weeks. Many bumps in the road along the way, but their kindness, skills and care were exemplary as well as their communication with myself was not only reassuring but informative.

Everyone from Sister, nurse's, doctors, physio, OT and domestic staff are an example of how the NHS can and does excel. Thank you all.

From a daughter who is an experienced nurse, having been in the NHS herself for nearly 50yrs, I am proud and impressed with you all. WELL DONE. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOU DO.

Thank you for your lovely message.

I do hope your mother is now on the mend.

In order that we can identify the crew involved, please can you let us know the address including postcode which they attended, the patients full name, and the date we attended.

Please email compliments@secamb.nhs.uk

Kind regards

Sandra
