"I wouldn't have coped without their amazing help"

About: Outpatients / Fracture Clinic Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a service user),

I attended the fracture clinic and plaster room in September 2025. I had been in plaster for 11 and a half weeks with a broken fibula the staff were just outstanding. Claire and Innes put me at total ease, I was so nervous but they were amazing.

I'd also like to mention the Ambulance crew as they were also amazing. I suffer bad from anxiety and panic attacks and they really helped me to  cope with my visit to hospital. Their names were John and Janet, also the other lovely man can't remember his name but he has taken me to hospital before he has glasses and moustache they were so patient and lovely with me so I'd like to thank them all as I just wouldn't have coped without their amazing help. Thanks again to you all 😀

Dear corridorxd36,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience here on Care Opinion. I see that your feedback relates to a number of services. I'm responding on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance Service.

I’m delighted that our ambulance crew – John, Janet and the other crew member you mentioned were able to support you so compassionately, especially given your anxiety and panic attacks. Your kind words will mean a great deal to them.

If you’re happy to do so, please send the name, date, time and address of your call out to sas.feedback@nhs.scot, and include your Care Opinion username. This will help us match your story with the crew involved and ensure your appreciation is shared directly with them.

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know about your experience.

Warm wishes,

Marie

Dear corridorxd36

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It’s wonderful to hear that Claire and Innes made such a positive impact and helped ease your nerves during a tough time. Eleven and a half weeks in plaster sounds challenging, but it’s great that the staff’s care stood out to you. Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery!

Kind regards

Kevin
