At the birth of my daughter, Michelle entered the room when I was really starting to struggle. I was panicking, not breathing properly and quite frankly, a mess. Michelle took over, grabbed my hand, looked me straight in the eye and told me I can do this, I am doing this.
Something as simple as taking my hand, saying those words and bringing me back into the room made all of the difference and changed my birthing experience for the better. Michelle you are an absolute credit to the midwifery and labour team up in the Antrim area hospital.
Your authority, kindness and motivation reminded me of how strong I could be. (I do apologise for having you in a headlock at one stage but just shows how good of a sport and support you are)
You took the time to check on my daughter and I before your shift finished and that also made such a difference to my experience. I really hope this reaches you, because you deserve to be celebrated. I cannot thank you enough.
