"They’ve always been lovely and professional"

My child was recently assessed. I spoke with Amy who was lovely and my 18 yr old went into another room with psychologists. Although they didn’t like it (overwhelming and confusing), the whole thing was not much over an hour and we got the results 3 days later. That part was good.

The poor part was the 3 and half yr wait and the multiple times I was asked to send the questionnaire by different people.

It sometimes felt like documents got lost and apart from the assessment day it felt a bit incompetent.

On the few occasions I’ve met staff they’ve always been lovely and professional. It the email and telephone part which requires improvement and obviously the long wait.

Firstly thank you for taking the time to post your feedback.

We agree that the wait is currently too long for our families and it is something RDASH are committed to reducing, we continue to work hard to achieve this but apologise that it wasn't in time for your family.

Thank you for providing the feedback about the email and telephone process, this is something I will look into to ensure it is streamlined and more efficient and appreciate you bringing this to my attention.

I am glad to hear that once you were finally seen the the staff were professional and lovely and that your assessment and feedback was turned around quickly.
