A relative had a major operation in August 2025, then spent a day in intensive care and almost 2 weeks on Ward 38. Consultants, doctors, nurses, carers were excellent, despite his impatience at being kept in longer than he thought he would.
Communication with relatives excellent (we're not used to wards actually answering the phone where I'm from), lung cancer nurses also good at keeping in touch with him.
His date for being admitted changed by a couple of days but not an issue for him.
I thought I'd post due to the recent negative stories re this hospital in case it put patients off having similar treatment. This procedure saved his life and everyone involved was excellent.
"Excellent care and communication from ward 38 & intensive care"
