"Cold coagulation (heat treatment)"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Gynaecology (Ward 32)

(as the patient),

I got shown in by a nurse and had a good thorough chat about what my results were and and what kind of treatment I would be receiving. I was made to feel so comfortable and all questions I asked had an answer. The treatment wasn’t sore, slightly uncomfortable however no pain at all. I asked for a squeeze ball and staff gave me one (I was nervous). I was told everything that was going on and what was to come and by the end I felt comfortable and completely fine. Went to get changed came back and had a biscuit and a glass of water while I got talked through all of the aftercare etc. Couldn’t have had a better experience or better nurse and gynaecologist (Kirsty and Ally - RAH PAISLEY).

Dear LRNMC,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. It is truly heart-warming to hear how comfortable and supported you felt throughout your visit. Kirsty, our nurse colposcopist, and Ally will be absolutely delighted to know that their care, kindness, and clear communication made such a difference to you.

We understand how important it is to feel reassured, listened to, and treated with compassion, especially when feeling nervous, so your feedback really means a lot to the whole team. I’m so pleased the little touches – like the squeeze ball, a biscuit, and a glass of water – helped you feel more at ease.

I will make sure your lovely comments are passed on to the staff involved, as they will be encouraged to know their efforts are valued.

With warmest thanks,

Nikki
