"A lot of useful techniques to help my breathing/condition"

About: NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde / Pulmonary Rehabilitation (Community)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The pulmonary rehab classes have been good. I previously completed the 8 week block 6 yrs ago. Coming back has really got me back into exercising, which I have enjoyed. Its re-inforced a lot of useful techniques to help my breathing/condition such as pacing. The class size was just right - everyone got on well and had a good laugh whilst working hard.

Dear cruxbx97,

Thanks for taking the time to provide care opinion feedback regarding our pulmonary rehabilitation service.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is one of the most important interventions for people living with chronic lung disease so it is great to hear that you have enjoyed getting back to exercise.

Understanding how to manage breathlessness through pacing is an important tool we teach in Pulmonary Rehabilitation so it is great to read that we have been able to support you to learn this skill.

We also know that socialising with people who have a similar condition is of great value so it is great to read that you found this to be the case.

Wishing you all the very best for your future,

Kind Regards.

Kirsty Murray
