"A very well run unit"

My 6 year old son came in recently to get his tonsils and adenoids removed. We came to DHH paed ward early morning. He was looked after by Anne and Shauna. Anne hadn’t even started her shift and brought us to the correct area from the lift. I cannot fault the care and professionalism we received and experienced.

The ward was so clean. Everyone was so pleasant. I was constantly kept informed of what was happening and why. The staff in theatre and recovery were also brilliant, I wish I had their names, from the nurse who checked us in, the cons anaesthetist, the ent cons and the recovery nurse. All amazing.

As a mum coming in with a 6 year old boy and having worries about a procedure, I felt very at ease and well cared for. Again Anne and Shauna cared for him post op they couldn’t have done enough. They are a credit to the unit. A very well run unit.

Thank you so much for looking after my little boy, strangely he had the best time! The domestic staff were also in cleaning several times and had the unit very clean and presentable. Thank you all again very much I hope you all get the credit you deserve
