When I was first referred to North Ayrshire’s CMHT and later diagnosed with ADHD by another psychiatrist, I felt quite alone and left to figure it out myself. Since being under Dr Julyan’s care, it has been a completely different experience. He takes time to listen, explains things clearly, and has never once made me feel rushed or dismissed.
When I raised questions about autism, he didn’t brush it off but went through the process with me, helping me understand what it might mean. This patience and openness has made me feel truly heard and accepted, which is rare in my experience.
Because of his support, I’ve gone from feeling lost and depressed to being more stable, more self-accepting, and achieving more than I thought possible. His consistency, kindness and practice have been the foundation of my recovery. I feel very grateful, and I want him to know that the difference he makes doesn’t go unnoticed.
