"I feel like a brand new person now"

About: Ealing Talking Therapies

(as the patient),

I was referred to Ealing Talk Therapies by my GP. I was matched with Natasha and this service has been so useful for me. Before I even started, I never even realised I had anxiety, but I felt burnt out. The second session with Natasha she created a word document with the GAD formula, personalised to me which put my entire life into perspective.

Over the next 10 weeks, I would have weekly catch ups with Natasha who would talk to me about different coping mechanisms and techniques I can use in my everyday life. At the end of the session, she would set realistic goals which I would then put into use during the week. This has really helped me.

Over the 12 weeks, I have grown so much and been able to pick up on all the triggers and question myself when I go back into bad habits. She has given me the tools I need to manage my anxiety and gave me a blueprint to the future during our last session. I can’t express how grateful I am for how she picked up on the behaviours which led to my anxiety and gave me the necessary tools to help me manage this. Although this is an ongoing task, Natasha gave me a safe space to talk and made me feel comfortable during our sessions.

I am so grateful for her and how she handled my tears and objections during our sessions. We’ve come a long way and as cheesy as it sounds, you really have changed my life and I feel like a brand new person now. Thank you so much for everything over the last 12 weeks. I know I have had some heavy moments but your empathy was everything I needed. I really appreciate all the help you have given me and I’m excited to have a new lease on life.
