"Parking machines"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford)

(as a service user),

The parking machines in car Park C at the RD&E Wonford are constantly not in full working order. I find it shocking that despite the astronomical charges, this company are unable to upkeep the only 2 machines in the car park which are needed in order to pay for parking.

In an age where cash is being carried less and less, and a very busy car park, when I visited only one machine was in use. I had to tell it when I arrived, despite putting in my whole numberplate, and then use cash to pay for my parking.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent experience in Car Park C at the Wonford site. We are sorry to hear about the difficulties you encountered with the parking payment machines.

We understand how frustrating it can be when equipment does not work as expected, especially in a busy hospital environment. We also appreciate your point about the shift away from cash, and how important it is for parking systems to reflect current payment habits.

Your comments have been shred with the external parking operator responsible for the maintenance of the machines. We are actively working with them to ensure the machines are functioning properly and that faults are addressed more promptly.

Should you attend the hospital again and experience difficulty with payment machines again, please do not hesitate to contact us via the main hospital reception desk or telephone the onsite parking team at the Travel Hub.

Thank you again for your feedback, it helps us improve the experience for all our visitors.
