"You deserve the highest praise"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a relative),

The ambulance service does an absolutely incredible job. Their professionalism, compassion, and quick response make such a difference during what is often someone's most stressful and frightening moments. They are highly skilled, calm under pressure and show genuine care for patients and their families, like they did for ours. It must be a tough job, long hours, tough situations and every day is different.

They gave my sister in law the best care before taking her to hospital. They were calm, compassionate and professional. They took time to make sure she felt safe and secure and ease her pain.

Their kindness and reassurance made such a difficult time so much easier for her and her family.

We are so grateful for the work they do (Chris and Ambulance partner, NHS Western Isles)

You deserve the highest praise.

Dear RalstonM,

Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and thoughtful words. I’m really sorry to hear that your sister-in-law was going through such a difficult time, but I’m so glad to know that our crew, Chris and their ambulance partner were able to provide the care, compassion and reassurance she needed.

Your message beautifully captures the heart of what our teams strive to do every day, often in challenging circumstances. I’ll make sure your feedback is shared with our colleagues in the Scottish Ambulance Service, including the crew involved, so they know just how much their support meant to you and your family.

If you’d like us to pass your story directly to the crew, we’d be grateful if you could email us at sas.feedback@nhs.scot with a few more details. Specifically, we’d need the name, date, time, and address of the call-out so we can match it with our records. Please also include your Care Opinion username in the email so we can link your message to this story and ensure it reaches the right team.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback.

Warmest wishes,
Marie
