I broke my foot in January 2022. I went to the royal and was told nothing was wrong - just swole maybe sprained. I went back 6 weeks later to a different hospital for a second opinion and of course it was broken.
Since the initial misdiagnosis, I have endured prolonged pain and complications. I required a steroid injection and later underwent surgery in December 2024, nearly 3 years later!!!!
which subsequently led to a blood clot. I am now waiting for further treatment as the ankle pain remains ongoing and unresolved.
I was informed that I will be receiving an urgent MRI scan and an urgent steroid injection. While I welcome this, I have yet to be given a clear timeframe as to when these will take place, as my condition continues to have a major impact on my daily life.
This continued cycle of pain, delays, and uncertainty has had a severe impact on both my physical and mental health.
I have since taken out private medical care as I feel I have been neglected from get go and would hate this or anything like this to happen to me or my family again.
Disgusted isn’t even the word for it.
