"Community stroke team were incredible and gave hope"

About: Countywide Community Care Service Delivery Unit / Community Stroke Service Princess of Wales Community Hospital / Rehabilitation and Assessment Unit

(as a service user),

Following my Father suffering a stroke which left him unable to use the left hand side, the community stroke team came and worked with him. 

The team led by Georgia that worked with him were incredible. They could have easily deemed him a lost cause in terms of improvement and future potential but they have worked so hard to find the right process and treatments for him, and they have not only given him hope again but he has made real progress.

Time and time again they went over and above what could be expected of them and really pushed for better outcomes. This has been so greatly appreciated we cannot express our gratitude enough.

Hello Keith,

This is such lovely feedback and thank you so much for spending the time to do this. Feedback like this is of enormous benefit to staff that work hard everyday despite challenging times within the NHS. It is such a morale booster. I am also really proud of the team when I hear of such fabulous feedback.

We take the philosophy that we should always instil hope with our patients after such a life-changing event. This often feeds into the motivation to work along side us and creates positive changes.

I will make sure that all the team receive this lovely feedback. I'm sure it will put smiles onto all their faces and make them feel very valued.
