I was approaching one week overdue with my third baby and discussions were starting around induction, which I was keen to avoid if at all possible.
Katherine (Consultant Midwife) at the Ulster hospital went above and beyond to support me, arranging to see me at very short notice to support my desired outcome of avoiding induction. She talked me through all the options and gave sound clinical reasoning for and against different options which helped me to come up with a plan I felt comfortable with.
I then went on to go into labour following a sweep and was supported to deliver in the home from home setting. We had incredible care from start to finish with fantastic midwives Claire and Rachel and support staff. The home from home setting was an incredible place to give birth and I will be forever thankful to the staff there.
